Jawline Acne – Causes and Treatments
|
|
Jawline Acne:One of the most irritating types of acne is jawline acne. While some types are much more easily treated, acne found on the jawline can be harder to remove for several reasons. |
As you probably already know, acne forms due to excessive oil, or sebum, on your face. This oil can get to your face a number of different ways- your hands, hair, or simply from your skin cells releasing it. If you have ever known someone that had a lot of acne problems, or if you have it yourself, it is probably genetics making your skin release extra sebum.
There are a few different treatments for acne, and customers claim to have success with all of them. Something that is important to note is that you will not have success with every method. What works for your best friend to get rid of jawline acne may not work for you.
This is especially true because jawline acne is more hormonal than acne that appears on the rest of your face. Many customers who claim to have flawless looking skin everywhere else still experience acne on their jaw simply due to a hormone imbalance.
There are a few different treatments that you can take. The most powerful for this type of acne is to use a hormonal treatment. Usually given by a dermatologist, this can help balance your hormones which will make the acne go away.
If you are a female, you should know that many birth control pills will actually help reduce acne. Since birth control changes your hormones, they are kind of like a hormonal treatment that also prevents you from getting pregnant.
Another solution is to find a very good facial cleanser. There are many cleansers on the market these days that are specifically targeting people with oily skin. The most common type is one with salicylic acid, but there are a few other types as well. Note that if your jawline acne is hormonal, this will not be as effective as a hormonal treatment.
If you prefer a more natural approach, there are several home remedies that you can try. For example, you can make a paste out of ground cinnamon and lime or lemon juice. Apply this to the acne each night and wash it away in the morning. You can also try other washing your face with other things with healing properties such as water with baking soda or salt water.
